Last Saturday, October 16th, marked the third annual PINK charity event at Rising Gallery & Advisory, raising money for the Sharon Wetz Breast Cancer Fund to benefit the Cancer Support Community of North Texas through a silent art auction and fashion show featuring designs by the students of El Centro College Fashion Program.Response was phenomenal, and with over 60 artists donating their work to a great cause, there was a lot to offer event goers. There are still some fabulous donated artworks on display and available for purchase through the end of the month for anyone who was not able to attend the evening event; 100% of those sales will go to charity. All other artwork sold at the gallery during the month of October will have a small portion of sales proceeds donated to this great cause.
Sharon Wetz Breast Cancer Fund is dedicated to assisting families living with the difficulties that come with a diagnosis of breast cancer. The Cancer Support Community of North Texas offers emotional and social support services to cancer patients and their families.
